Inspection Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for inspection in the QA/QC field of IND business, which includes Oil & Gas, Power, and Petrochemical Industries. You will work independently with minimal supervision on various assets and installations, ensuring compliance with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy. Your key responsibilities will include: - Reviewing contractual requirements and identifying execution/inspection problems - Inspecting Pressure Vessels & components from raw material to final stage according to codes & standards like ASME Sec-VIII - Inspecting Piping for Process Plants, including stage-wise inspection and dimensional checks - Inspecting Pipes & Tubes as per ASTM, IS, and API standards, from raw material to final inspection - Inspecting piping components like Flanges, Fittings, Valves, and Pumps as per applicable codes - Inspecting Castings such as Shafts, Gears, and Mill Heads, with activities like material testing and final inspection - Inspecting Steel structures for hydro power plants, including structural parts like radial gates and trusses - Selecting appropriate inspection techniques and supervising inspectors - Conducting Vendor Assessments and capacity assessments of manufacturing facilities - Coordinating and managing projects, including the preparation of inspection checklists In terms of HSE responsibilities, you must: - Comply with BV Cardinal Safety Rules and company HSE requirements - Take care of your own health and safety, as well as that of colleagues and others - Report any HSE shortcomings or incidents immediately to your Line Managers - Share opportunities for improvement in HSE aspects To qualify for this role, you should have: - B. Tech (Mechanical) with 8 years of experience or Diploma (Mechanical) with 10 years of experience & ASNT qualification - Knowledge of QA/QC processes - Level II qualification in NDT as per service line requirement - Familiarity with IS, ASME, ASTM, API codes, standards, and specifications If you are looking for a challenging role where you can utilize your inspection skills and contribute to the quality assurance of various industries, this position might be the right fit for you.,
