Internship Opportunity – Machine Learning / Edge AI (Computer Vision) Location: Remote / Bengaluru / Kolkata | Duration: 8–12 weeks | Stipend: Offered About InSiSo Technologies InSiSo Technologies is a Bengaluru & Kolkata based deep-tech company focused on semiconductors, embedded systems, and edge AI . We help product companies and OEMs move from concept to production by bridging ASIC/FPGA design, low-power system engineering, and intelligent computer-vision workloads . Our founders combine advanced semiconductor design expertise (PhD Purdue, ex-Cypress) with experience in building and scaling technology ventures (IIM-Ahmedabad, D2C Strategic Exit) . Project Build and optimize a lightweight convolutional neural network (CNN) for facial emotion and driver-state monitoring , designed for efficient deployment on resource-constrained edge hardware . What you’ll do Prepare and curate datasets (FER+, AffectNet, driver attention). Train compact CNNs (YOLOv5-Nano / BlazeFace + MobileNetV3-Small). Apply quantization (INT8) and pruning for low-power deployment. Export models to ONNX / TensorFlow Lite . Benchmark latency, FPS, and accuracy on typical edge devices. Skills we look for Python with PyTorch or TensorFlow/Keras . Understanding of CNNs and model compression (quantization/pruning). Familiarity with OpenCV / image preprocessing.
