Innovation Consultant

You are invited to join Avaap's India-based Center of Excellence (ACE) team as a dedicated Workday Innovation Consultant. In this role, you will be instrumental in accelerating the innovation pipeline by building and demonstrating cutting-edge solutions using Workday Extend applications and Snowflake integrations with embedded insights. This newly created position offers the opportunity to be part of a small, high-impact pilot group focused on innovation builds and prototypes, supported by structured technical guidance. As a Workday Innovation Consultant at Avaap, you will have the chance to work on high-visibility initiatives in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. You will be involved in designing and developing Workday Extend applications that incorporate Snowflake-powered insights into the Workday UI. Additionally, you will be responsible for building and showcasing integrations between Workday and Snowflake, utilizing Python, SQL, and Workday Extend APIs. Collaboration with innovation leads and solution architects to understand technical requirements and deliver iterative prototypes will be a key aspect of your role. To excel in this position, you are expected to have experience with Workday Extend, preferably certified. Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL-based data modeling, proficiency in Python and/or Java/Javascript, and a strong understanding of Workday's object model and integration points are highly valued. Demonstrated ability to create demos or proof-of-concept applications, as well as Snowflake certification or project experience, is preferred. Previous experience in consulting or client-facing environments and exposure to Workday Reporting, Prism, or People Analytics would be advantageous. The minimum qualifications for this role include a willingness to work from 1 PM to 10 PM IST, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work indoors at a computer, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
