As a Guidewire BillingCenter/PolicyCenter Senior Developer, you will be responsible for leading and implementing Guidewire PolicyCenter/BillingCenter state rollouts to ensure timely and quality delivery. Your key responsibilities will include providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior Guidewire developers, collaborating with clients to understand business requirements, validating technical feasibility, and communicating effectively with the offshore team. You will contribute 40% of your time hands-on to BillingCenter configuration and integration development for releases and coordinate offshore efforts to resolve production incidents and defects. Additionally, you will review offshore development work in PCF configurations, business rules, and data model creation, manage and communicate project and team status to senior management, and provide technical support for PolicyCenter/BillingCenter in production environments. You will also coordinate with third-party service providers and integration owners to ensure application stability and uptime. Your technical skills should include strong hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter implementations and state rollouts, as well as in-depth knowledge of billing methods customization, invoice structure and functionality, delinquency workflows, cancellation, reinstatement, and disbursement logic, commissions and batch processes. Proficiency in SQL Server or DB2 databases, experience with third-party platform integrations, familiarity with application servers such as WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, or JBOSS, and a strong grasp of J2EE application containers are also required. To qualify for this role, you must have 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter/BillingCenter, strong expertise in Guidewire configuration and integration, at least one complete end-to-end Guidewire implementation experience, development proficiency in Gosu, APIs, rules, and processes, hands-on experience with web services (SOAP, REST, XML, WSDL), Guidewire Certification in PolicyCenter/BillingCenter, familiarity with version control systems (e.g., SVN), ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment, and experience working directly with customers with excellent written and spoken English skills.
