Job Description

1. Ink Preparation & Matching

Match ink shades as per customers color standards or approved shade cards (Pantone, sample, or proof).
Prepare ink formulations using base colors and additives.
Maintain consistency of color throughout production.
Conduct shade matching using spectrophotometer or visual matching under standard light (D65).

2. Color Quality Control

Check color accuracy during print runs and adjust inks as needed.
Maintain color tolerance as per quality standards (E values).
Approve print samples before production.

3. Ink Management & Mixing

Maintain records of ink formulation and batch numbers.
Reuse return inks by adjusting shades for new jobs.
Control ink inventory and ensure proper storage conditions.
