Experience Required: Minimum 8 years in service & support roles (preferably in the water treatment industry or similar technical/industrial environment) Location: Chennai (Base Location) Travel Requirement: Extensive travel across Chennai, Bangalore, and Kerala — at least 10 days per month About Initiative Since 1990, Initiative has been pioneering products that were previously unheard of in India's water industry. We are leading a silent revolution across rural India—providing community drinking water at a nominal cost while eliminating single-use PET bottles. Our legacy is built on three key technologies: Fully Automated Water Treatment Plants Remote Plant Monitoring & Control Automated Water Dispensing Solutions Key Responsibilities Service & Team Management: Lead the service and support team across the South region, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to service SLAs. Client Support: Act as the escalation point for major customer issues and provide hands-on support where required. Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plants & dispensing systems. Process Improvement: Develop SOPs and continuously improve service processes to maximize system uptime and customer satisfaction. Reporting & Coordination: Maintain regular MIS/reporting for management and coordinate closely with the R&D, Production, and Sales teams. Travel: Frequently travel across Chennai, Bangalore, and Kerala to inspect sites and meet client teams (approx. 10 days/month). Skills & Qualifications Diploma (minimum) in any engineering discipline Strong technical troubleshooting and field service experience Demonstrated experience in team & stakeholder management Excellent communication skills in English & Hindi (knowledge of South Indian languages preferred) Ability to remain proactive, solution-driven, and hands-on in challenging field conditions Benefits Competitive Annual CTC: ₹6,00,000 per annum (based on experience) Travel Allowance (travel + stay) for all official trips Opportunity to lead service operations across a high-growth region
