Infrastructure System Engineer (Virtualisation)

As a Virtualization Engineer, your role involves deploying, configuring, and managing VMware ESXi, Nutanix AHV, and Citrix XenServer environments. You will be responsible for managing VM lifecycle operations, including creation, migration, cloning, and template management. Additionally, you will implement and manage HA and fault-tolerance features within virtualization platforms. Your duties will also include performing upgrades, patching, and cluster maintenance for hypervisors. It is essential to have a strong understanding of Storage and Networking concepts in Virtual environments. Your responsibilities will also entail monitoring and troubleshooting virtualization environments for performance and availability issues. You will automate VM provisioning, migration, and configuration using tools like PowerCLI, Ansible, or Prism APIs. As part of your role, you will provide advanced technical support for escalated issues related to VMs and virtualization platforms. A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Hypervisors is required for this position. In addition to technical skills, soft skills are crucial for success in this role. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. You should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
