Project Role : Infra Tech Support Practitioner Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting. Must have skills : Apache Cassandra Good to have skills : NAMinimum 5 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary :As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing ongoing technical support and maintenance for production and development systems and software products. Your typical day will involve addressing technical issues, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring that all configured services operate smoothly across different platforms. You will engage in both remote and onsite support, focusing on hardware and software solutions while adhering to established operating models and processes. Your role will also include troubleshooting at both basic and intermediate levels, ensuring that systems remain operational and efficient. Roles & Responsibilities:- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.- Responsible for team decisions.- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.- Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues. Must have Skills: 6+ Years of experience in handling NoSQL databaseStrong knowledge of the DataStax Enterprise (DSE) platform, Cassandra architecture, and NoSQL concepts. Proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting DataStax Enterprise (DSE) Cassandra clusters. Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and Shell scripting. DataStax architecture and hands-on administration experience Maintenance of DataStax No SQL DatabaseExperience with Backup and restore/Recover strategies.Strong database administration experience specifically using Cassandra Performance tuning of Cassandra clusters to support high read/write throughput while minimizing latency.Good to Have:Good to have Knowledge on any other database technologies (MSSQL, ORACLE, Postgre, Redis and DB2)Job Responsibilities:Willing to work on 24/7 shiftsHands-on experience with Cassandra tools (node tool, cqlsh, OpsCenter)The DataStax administrator role involves setting up the cluster, optimization of the read and write data, copying data from other file systems and the role requires 24/7 supportInstall, configure and upgrade DataStax Cassandra DBMS on multiple environments.Design and implement Cassandra data models, schemas, and resource plans.Monitor and maintain the performance, health, and security of Cassandra clusters.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and software bugs.Implement backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and minimizing downtime.The DataStax administrator role involves setting up the cluster, optimization of the read and write data, copying data from other file systems.Stay updated with DataStax and Cassandra releases, new features, security patches, and industry best practices. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cassandra administration- Strong understanding of Cassandra database architecture and performance tuning.- Experience in Cassandra tools (node tool, cqlsh, OpsCenter).- Hands-on experience in backup and recovery strategies.- Knowledge of Cassandra data models is preferred. Additional Information:- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Apache Cassandra.- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.- A 15 years full time education is required.
