Information Security Risk Officer, COO

As a Cyber Security professional, you will be part of the Group Operational, Technology and Cybersecurity Risk (OTCR) organization at Standard Chartered Bank in Chennai, IN. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding the bank's data and IT systems by managing technological, information, and cyber security risks across the enterprise. Reporting into the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), your responsibilities will include ensuring the effective implementation of Operational, Technology, and ICS controls in alignment with the Operational Risk Type Framework (ORTF) and the ICS Risk Type Framework. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive culture of Operational, Technology, and Cybersecurity risk management within the bank. Collaborating with the OTCR team, CISO & COO, you will support the Tech and ICS risk management strategy, governance, advisory, and assurance roles for various client businesses, regions, and functions. Your expertise in ICS controls domains such as Network Security Management, End-point Security, Security Incident Management, Cyber Forensic, Cloud Computing, Identity Access Management (IAM), AI/ML, and DevSecOps will be essential. Key responsibilities will involve overseeing and challenging 1st line Tech and ICS risk proposals, monitoring Tech and ICS risks and remediation plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting a healthy Tech and ICS risk culture, and conducting reviews to drive improvements. You will also play a pivotal role in governance, collaborating with teams within TTO and participating in work groups to advise and challenge on Tech and ICS matters. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in Cyber Security frameworks, standards, and principles, Cloud and Container Security, Data Science and Analytics, ML Ops, and DevSecOps. A degree in Information and Cyber Security or Technology, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in information security or risk management, is required. Professional certifications such as CRISC, CCSK/CCSP, CISSP, CISA, CISM are desirable. Your ability to communicate effectively in English, present complex AI/ML risk concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and uphold the highest standards of ethics and compliance will be crucial.
