Informatica Developer with Databricks

As an ETL Migration Specialist for Informatica to Databricks, your role will involve analysing, reverse engineering, and refactoring existing Informatica mappings/workflows into efficient data processing workflows on Databricks. You will collaborate with both business and technical teams to ensure a seamless migration process. Key Responsibilities: - Reverse Engineering: Analyze Informatica mappings, workflows, sessions, and variables to understand data flow, transformations, and aggregations. - ETL Refactoring: Translate Informatica logic into PySpark/Databricks workflows for accuracy and performance. - Data Modeling & Transformation: Design and implement transformation logic aligned with business rules. - Performance Optimization: Refactor ETL logic for scalability and performance tuning. - Documentation: Create detailed documentation for converted pipelines capturing technical logic and business rules. - Testing & Validation: Collaborate with QA/Business teams to validate data correctness. - Best Practices: Ensure adherence to Databricks and cloud data engineering best practices. - Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve discrepancies. Qualifications Required: - Strong knowledge of Informatica objects such as Mappings, Workflows, Sessions. - Hands-on experience with Informatica transformations like Lookup, Joiner, Aggregator, etc. - Proficiency in handling Informatica parameters and variables. - Experience in designing reusable transformations and optimization techniques. - 5+ years of ETL development experience with Informatica PowerCenter. - 2+ years of experience in Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake). - Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms. - Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning. - Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills. This job also requires experience with DevOps/CI-CD pipelines, exposure to migration tools, knowledge of data lakehouse patterns, and experience in Agile/Scrum delivery.,
