Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Conduct regular hospital rounds to identify infection risks and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
Monitor and record hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and prepare periodic infection control reports.
Assist in developing and updating infection control policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure implementation of hand hygiene, PPE, and aseptic techniques across departments.
Educate new employees during induction on infection control protocols.
Promote awareness campaigns on infection control (e.g., hand hygiene week, safe injection practices).
Ensure compliance with NABH/NABL/JCI infection control standards.
Maintain documentation and records required for accreditation and internal audits.
Report notifiable diseases to local health authorities as per government norms.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong observation and analytical skills.
Good communication and training ability.
Familiarity with hospital hygiene, sterilization, and disinfection practices.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
