Induction Operator (HT)

As an individual in this role, you will be responsible for operating and setting up induction hardening machines according to job requirements. Your tasks will involve reading and interpreting engineering drawings, hardness specifications, and process sheets. It will also be your duty to monitor machine operations, adjust parameters such as frequency, power, cycle time, and cooling to achieve the desired hardness, and conduct hardness testing using methods like Rockwell, Brinell, or Micro Vickers. Maintaining quality standards, performing routine checks, preventive maintenance, and reporting machine issues to maintenance are crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be expected to keep records of production, quality reports, and daily log sheets, while ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and maintaining 5S in the workplace. Your skills and competencies will include knowledge of the induction hardening process and heat treatment, ability to operate hardness testing equipment, understanding of metallurgical properties and component behavior, basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills, as well as attention to detail, quality focus, and safety awareness. In terms of qualifications and experience, you should possess an ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Tool & Die or an equivalent field. Ideally, you should have 0-2 years of experience in induction hardening operations, preferably in the automotive or engineering industry.
