IPCL invites skilled and motivated Engineers to join our ALDC (Area Load Dispatch Centre) team. The selected candidate will be responsible for real-time monitoring, control, and management of the power distribution network (220kV/132kV/33kV) to ensure reliable and efficient electricity supply within the license area. The incumbent will coordinate load scheduling & communication with the Power Purchase Team & SLDC (ALDC operation) What the role entails- Real-time monitoring and operation of distribution network parameters through SCADA system, including the feeders. Handling network contingencies and initiating corrective actions during abnormal conditions. Support preventive and corrective maintenance planning from an operational perspective. Load management, demand forecasting, and scheduling (in advance) based upon the guidelines of Power Trading & related stakeholders. Coordination and communication with State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC), transmission utilities, and internal operation teams for system reliability as per protocol Maintain the standard operating procedures and ensure compliance as per the Grid’s regulations and operational guidelines. Study of the 220/132/33kV system including equipment & protection with in-built logics, ratings, etc. Study the entire downstream T&D network that is being fed from the sending point Prepare operational reports, load data analysis (DR file data), system performance monitoring, and report to the supervisor in case of any criticality. Identify and suggest improvement measures to maintain high efficiency of the electrical transmission and distribution system. Ensure compliance with safety standards. Coordination with SBU Heads & other internal stakeholders for smooth functioning Desired skills and competencies Electrical Engineer with 2-5 years of experience in distribution system operations/load dispatch centre/control room operations preferred.
