Inbound 2 Outbound (I2O) Solution Consultant - SAP

Role Overview: As an internal consultant within the corporate IT function at ZEISS, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the further development and customization in the supply chain environment within SAP ERP globally for the ZEISS business units. You will be part of the technical SAP team, with system responsibility, bridging the gap between specialist departments and SAP key users from various international departments. Your role will involve providing 2nd and 3rd level support to customers, finding workarounds for current issues, developing solutions for recurring errors, conducting root cause analyses, implementing bug fixes and extensions, documenting solutions, creating training materials, and being a key contributor in larger IT projects as an expert and subproject leader. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the primary contact for 2nd and 3rd level support for customers - Identify workarounds for current problems - Develop solutions to address recurring errors - Perform root cause analyses - Implement and test bug fixes and extensions - Document solutions and prepare training documents and instructions - Participate in significant IT projects as an expert and subproject leader Qualifications Required: - Completed vocational training or a (technical) university degree in computer science, logistics, or a related field - Good understanding of logistical processes, Batch management, Handling unit, Drop Shipment, and Inventory Management - 8-12 years of experience with at least 3-4 years of SAP experience - Process knowledge in SAP EWM, SAP WM, SAP TM, or SAP MM - Experience in customizing in SAP EWM, SAP TM, or SAP LE-TRA - Familiarity with SAP interface technologies such as IDOC and API - Ability to read and evaluate ABAP source code - Proficiency in developing in ABAP (bug fixes and changes) is desirable - Knowledge of the SAP ABAP debugger - Enjoyment in problem-solving and error identification - Openness to collaboration within the team and with customers - Fluent in English, German language skills are advantageous - Willingness to travel occasionally,
