Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer with a keen understanding of standard proofreading symbols and expertise in both traditional and digital printing requirements. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in a publishing company, particularly within the Book division. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is a must, as the role involves rendering charts, graphs, diagrams, maps, and more. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop will be considered an additional advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize proficiency in Adobe Illustrator to create high-quality visuals, including charts, graphs, diagrams, maps, etc.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and graphic techniques.
• Collaborate with the publishing team to ensure that designs meet printing requirements for both traditional and digital formats.
• Implement standard proofreading symbols to ensure accuracy and precision in all graphic materials.
• Display a strong command of the English language, with excellent reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• Utilize analytical skills to effectively assess and enhance graphic design elements.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• A Diploma or Certificate course in Graphic Design can also be sufficient, depending on the skill set and experience.
