Role Overview We are looking for a skilled and self-driven Cilium/eBPF Developer to design, develop, troubleshoot, and optimize kernel-level networking and observability features using eBPF and open-source Cilium . You will be responsible for contributing to high-performance networking components, supporting customers, and building tools around Cilium for large-scale Kubernetes deployments. Key Responsibilities Design and implement networking, security, or observability features using eBPF and open-source Cilium Extend or customize Cilium for client-specific requirements (e.g., policies, observability, performance tuning) Build integrations with Kubernetes and other CNCF ecosystem tools Debug, optimize, and troubleshoot low-level networking and policy issues Collaborate with internal teams to provide support for production issues Contribute to internal tools or open-source initiatives around Cilium/eBPF Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with Cilium and eBPF Deep understanding of the Linux networking stack and kernel-level programming Familiarity with Kubernetes , container networking (CNI) , and microservices architectures Proficient in C/C++ Experience with observability tools (e.g., Hubble, Prometheus, Grafana) Comfortable working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments Nice to Have Contributions to Cilium, eBPF projects, or similar open-source tools Familiarity with security policies , network segmentation , or cloud firewalling Experience in performance benchmarking or latency optimization Exposure to other CNIs (Calico, Flannel, AWS VPC CNI)
