Role Overview

Cilium/eBPF Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement networking, security, or observability features using eBPF and open-source Cilium
• Extend or customize Cilium for client-specific requirements (e.g., policies, observability, performance tuning)
• Build integrations with Kubernetes and other CNCF ecosystem tools
• Debug, optimize, and troubleshoot low-level networking and policy issues
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide support for production issues
• Contribute to internal tools or open-source initiatives around Cilium/eBPF

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with

  Cilium

  and

  eBPF

• Deep understanding of the

  Linux networking

  stack and

  kernel-level programming

• Familiarity with

  Kubernetes

  ,

  container networking (CNI)

  , and

  microservices architectures

• Proficient in

  C/C++

• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Hubble, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Comfortable working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments

Nice to Have

• Contributions to Cilium, eBPF projects, or similar open-source tools
• Familiarity with

  security policies

  ,

  network segmentation

  , or

  cloud firewalling

• Experience in performance benchmarking or latency optimization
• Exposure to other CNIs (Calico, Flannel, AWS VPC CNI)
