IIoT Project Engineer is responsible to plan, organize, identify technical risk, and execute the project. In this role, you'll develop and implement solutions that connect industrial systems with enterprise IT infrastructure. Leveraging technologies such as JavaScript, Python, SQL, PostgreSQL, MQTT, OPC UA/DA, and various IoT protocols, you will bridge the gap between operational technology and information systems to enable real-time data flow, analytics, and automation

Responsibilities

• Planning the project activities
• Develop IIoT solution and propose integration recommendation
• Develop solution for OT/IT data integration. Integration between Edge Gateway and on premises server or Cloud (bi-directional).
• Manage the timeline as per user requirement. Provide report regularly, suggestion and gap analysis.
• Conduct evaluation/site survey and testing with users for the data integration and demonstration. This will include site study, front end engineering design, implementation and maintenance/services
• Translate the functional and technical requirement to DX Engineering team for remote execution and local regional engineering team for local execution.
• Integrate industrial systems using protocols like MODBUS, MQTT, OPC UA/DA, BACnet, and REST APIs.
• Develop and maintain Node-RED flows for real-time data processing and device coordination.
• Write efficient, reusable backend code in JavaScript (Node.js) and Python for automation and data handling.
• Manage and query relational databases, especially PostgreSQL and other SQL-based systems.
• Collaborate with SMEs, software engineers, and data scientists to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Essential Skill

• Hands-on complex data integration from various Industrial Assets. This include both OT & IT Protocols.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js) and Python for IIoT application development.
• Strong experience with SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Deep understanding of MODBUS, MQTT, OPC UA/DA, and other industrial communication protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Node-RED for workflow orchestration and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI).
• Knowledge of network architecture, cybersecurity best practices, and IoT device management.
• Experience with containerization (Docker), version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Preferred Skill

• Experience with cloud services (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, or Google Cloud IoT).
• Exposure to Industry 4.0 frameworks and digital twin technologies.
