Location: Ahmedabad-based with potential field travel across India About ICECD: The International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (ICECD) has over 38 years of experience implementing grassroots socio-economic programs across India and 55 countries. Our focus lies in empowering women, developing micro-entrepreneurs, and creating sustainable livelihood models through capacity building, mentorship, and access to resources. Role Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and mission-aligned Consultant to support and scale our programs in entrepreneurship, health, education, and women’s empowerment. This role involves strategic thinking, field engagement, mentoring entrepreneurs, and contributing to impactful program design and documentation. Key Responsibilities: Design and facilitate entrepreneurship development programs, especially for women and marginalized communities Mentor micro and small entrepreneurs on business planning, operations, and growth strategies Facilitate linkages with financial institutions, markets, and support ecosystems Develop compelling project proposals and concept notes for donors and stakeholders Conduct research, case documentation, and write progress/completion reports Liaise with partner organizations, government bodies, and community groups Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) frameworks Essential Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in socio-economic development, ideally in women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, health, or education Strong experience in business plan preparation and financial literacy Hands-on exposure to mentoring entrepreneurs and facilitating field programs Excellent proposal writing, report writing, and documentation skills Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders – from rural communities to institutional partners Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and presentation ability Fluency in English and Hindi (Gujarati is a plus) Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Development Studies, Social Work, Business, Economics, or related field Experience working with donor-funded projects (e.g. World Bank, CSR, Government schemes) Exposure to digital tools for field data collection and impact tracking To Apply: Please send your CV and a short cover note to icecdindia@icecd.org with the subject line: Application – Consultant, ICECD
