HR Recruiter – Roles and Responsibilities An HR Recruiter plays a pivotal role in the talent acquisition process by identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet an organization’s workforce needs. The role demands strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills. Core Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition Strategy Collaborate with department heads and HR leadership to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry hiring trends and job market dynamics. Job Description & Requirement Analysis Create, review, and update clear and detailed job descriptions in collaboration with department leads. Analyze the qualifications, skills, and competencies required for each role. Sourcing Candidates Proactively source candidates through various channels, including job portals, social media, employee referrals, career fairs, and campus drives. Build and maintain a talent pipeline for recurring hiring needs. Screening & Shortlisting Review resumes and applications to identify suitable candidates. Conduct initial telephonic/video screenings to assess qualifications, experience, communication, and culture fit. Schedule interviews with relevant department managers and gather feedback. Interview Coordination Coordinate and facilitate interview schedules between candidates and hiring teams. Guide candidates through the entire interview process to ensure a positive experience. Candidate Engagement Maintain regular communication with shortlisted candidates throughout the selection process. Provide timely updates and manage candidate expectations regarding timelines and next steps. Offer Management Draft and extend job offers to selected candidates. Negotiate salary and benefits packages in alignment with organizational standards. Ensure all pre-employment checks (background, reference) are completed before onboarding. Onboarding Support Work closely with the HR Operations team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires. Facilitate introductory sessions and ensure documentation is completed. Recruitment Metrics & Reporting Track and report key recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, source-of-hire, offer acceptance rate, and recruitment costs. Continuously optimize recruitment processes based on data-driven insights. Employer Branding Represent the company professionally and positively in all candidate interactions. Participate in employer branding initiatives to enhance the organization’s image as an employer of choice. Compliance & Documentation Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and data privacy standards throughout the recruitment lifecycle. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruitment activities.
