Hyperion Planning And Essbase Developer

The Hyperion Planning Offshore Lead is responsible for the build of software components related to all aspects of Data Sourcing, Transformation, Data Quality, and Data Loads using standard data integration technologies. This position will design processes to facilitate timely, reliable, and secure delivery of data for business processes and analytics, produce logical and physical architectures, gap analysis, source to target specifications, and business rules to translate the functional into technical requirements. This role will collaborate closely with other IT stakeholders including engineers, analysts, architects, and solution leads to deliver quality and timely solutions to the business

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a. Having 10+ years relevant Hyperion Systems Techno/Functional experience in areas such as Hyperion Planning & Essbase, Hyperion Financial Reports, Financial Data Quality Management Enterprise Edition (FDMEE) and Oracle data integrator(ODI).

b. Hands on development experience with Hyperion Planning & Essbase applications, Calc Manager Rules, Web Forms, Task Lists, Calc Scripts, MaxL scripts, loading dimensions and data, security configuration and automation scripts.

c. Experience with Plan, design, develop, implement, and support business focused technical solutions using Planning, Essbase, ODI and FDMEE.

d. Experience with Corporate Planning & Budgeting, Monthly, Quarterly and Year-End Reporting.

e. Woking knowledge Hyperion Financial Management and the financial close process.

f. Involved with functional team in gathering the business process requirements from various vendors and Clients and translating them into functional and Expertise in the preparation of Technical specifications.

g. Understanding the business requirements, preparing of technical specification, coding & UTP (Unit Test Plan).

h. Provide configuration, database/metadata design, data validation, and troubleshooting for different Hyperion Product.

i. Troubleshoot and provide recommendations for errors and performance issues reported in, FDMEE, Planning , Essbase, Hyperion Financial Reports, and Smart View.

j. Experienced in end to end migrations on Hyperion Planning and Essbase application, migrating Business Rules, Essbase Load Rules, Essbase Calculation Scripts, MaxL, Data Relationship Management (DRM), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Financial Reports (FR), SmartView, etc.

k. Good working relationship with functional and technical project teams, problem solving skills and good capabilities in analyzing complicated business process and technical development.

l. Excellent communication skills, team participation & inter-team co-ordination

m. direct support of application end-users in a Corporate environment.

n. Must be flexible to work over weekends when required

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Solid understanding of data integration/ETL processes and technologies. 10+ years dedicated experience in developing ETL solutions with experience in data integration toolsets such as Hyperion.
• Experience in Developing Groovy, Jython and Powershell Scripts, Calc Scripts, MaxL Scripts, FDMEE Event and Import Scripts, Planning Business Rules and Complicated FDMEE Mappings
• Solid knowledge of Oracle database technology at both the application and database levels.
• Demonstrated understanding of data quality and management and data integration principles.
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle methodologies and related artifacts.
• Proficient in identifying, analyzing and solving problems.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Life Science, Pharma, or HealthCare domain experience is highly preferred.

Must possess good communication skills, problem solving techniques, converting Business requirement to technical solution.
