Hydraulic Press Operator Power Press Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating the Power Press Machine:
• Set up and operate the power press (mechanical or hydraulic).
• Feed steel sheets or blanks into the press.
• Align materials properly to ensure accurate stamping/forming.
• Tooling and Die Setup:
• Install and align dies and tools according to job specifications.
• Perform minor adjustments to dies or presses when needed.
• Quality Inspection:
• Inspect finished parts for defects like cracks, burrs, or improper shape.
• Use measuring tools (vernier calipers, micrometers) to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Machine Maintenance:
• Perform routine checks and cleaning.
• Report or assist in fixing machine issues.
• Safety Compliance:
• Follow all factory safety protocols.
• Ensure guards and safety devices are in place and functioning.
• Use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) like gloves, goggles, earplugs.
• Documentation:
• Record production data, number of pieces made, rejections, and machine hours.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge of press machines and metal forming.
• Mechanical Aptitude for understanding machine operations and troubleshooting.
• Attention to Detail to identify quality issues.
• Physical Stamina for standing and operating machines for long periods.
• Safety Awareness to prevent injuries in a high-risk environment.

• Noisy, industrial setting.
