Job Description

As a Senior Hydraulic and Hydrological Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of hydraulic and hydrological systems and projects. You will be responsible for developing sustainable and efficient solutions for water management, flood control, stormwater drainage, wastewater systems, and river engineering projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure the highest technical quality and compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations. - Lead and manage hydraulic and hydrological engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. - Conduct detailed hydraulic and hydrological modelling and simulations using advanced software to optimize designs and system performance. - Design and review water supply networks, wastewater systems, stormwater management facilities, and flood control structures. - Perform data analysis, field assessments, and feasibility studies to support design and decision-making. - Develop technical reports, specifications, and construction documentation, and present findings to clients and regulatory bodies. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, and environmental engineers. - Stay abreast of latest technologies, modelling tools, and regulatory updates in the field of water engineering. - Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and supervision to junior engineers and project teams. - Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards. - Strong knowledge of hydraulic and hydrological engineering principles. - Proficiency in modelling tools such as MIKE Plus, MIKE SHE, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks ICM, SewerGEMS, SWMM, or ArcGIS. - Expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Bentley MicroStation for design and drafting. - Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (SMHI, Svenskt Vatten, Trafikverket, EN, ISO, AWWA, etc.). - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. - Strong communication skills both written and verbal. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. - Understanding of sustainable water resource design and environmental impact assessments. - Bachelors degree in Civil, Hydraulic, or Hydrology Engineering (Masters degree preferred). - Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working toward chartership with ICE (UK), CIWEM, or equivalent. - Minimum 8 years of experience in hydraulic and hydrological project design and delivery. - Demonstrated experience in large-scale infrastructure projects such as water distribution systems, wastewater treatment, flood management, or river engineering. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.,
