Hydraulic modelling, design and optimization of storm water drainage network using SewerGEMS/OpenFlows Storm Ultimate software. Analysis and design of primary channels in HEC -RAS/SWMM. Analysis and design/simulation of existing drains. Preparation of design sheets for storm water drainage systems. Participation in client meetings and interactions with funding agencies as per project requirements. Experience in Rainfall data analysis and IDF Curves generation by different methods and runoff estimation.

You will be responsible for performing hydraulic modeling using tools such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, EPANET, SWMM, or HEC-RAS, with a strong understanding of rising mains and L-sections. Your duties will include preparing design reports, hydraulic calculations, drawings, BOQs, DPRs, and technical specs, while ensuring compliance with BIS, CPHEEO, and other relevant codes and standards. You will need to coordinate with CAD teams for construction drawings and review survey and GIS data for alignment and profiles. Additionally, you will support planning, feasibility studies, and master planning for urban water/sewer networks, liaise with clients and authorities for design approvals and permits, and provide technical support during construction including RFIs, shop drawings, and inspections. Your role will also involve contributing to QA and risk management throughout the project lifecycle. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline (Masters preferred). You are expected to have a strong understanding of fluid mechanics, pipe hydraulics, and pump selection, as well as proficiency in hydraulic modeling tools such as WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, EPANET, SWMM, or similar software. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), and project management tools is also required. Knowledge of CPHEEO Manual, AWWA, BIS standards, and other applicable design codes will be beneficial for this role.,

As a Civil/Environmental Engineer specializing in sewerage and wastewater infrastructure design, you will have the responsibility to prepare and review detailed designs, drawings, hydraulic calculations, and engineering documents for sewerage systems. Your expertise will be crucial in designing sewer networks, including gravity and pressure systems, manholes, pumping stations, and other related structures. You will play a key role in assisting the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), feasibility studies, and detailed design reports for sewerage infrastructure projects. Utilizing tools like SewerGEMS, SWMM, or similar software, you will conduct hydraulic modeling and flow simulations to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the sewerage systems. Adhering to relevant design standards and codes such as CPHEEO Manual, IS codes, BIS, and MoHUA guidelines will be essential in your role. Collaboration with civil, electrical, and mechanical teams for integrated sewerage system design will be a part of your daily tasks. Your expertise will also be required in reviewing drawings submitted by contractors and design consultants, providing technical support during procurement processes, and participating in site visits to assess various design constraints. Obtaining necessary design approvals from clients and statutory authorities will also fall under your responsibilities. In terms of qualifications, you are expected to hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (a Master's degree in Environmental or Public Health Engineering is preferred) and have at least 5 years of experience in sewerage and wastewater infrastructure design. Proficiency in using design and hydraulic modeling software such as AutoCAD, SewerGEMS, Civil 3D, and SWMM is required. A good understanding of wastewater treatment technologies, pump sizing, and flow management principles will be beneficial for this role. To excel in this position, you should possess a strong knowledge of urban sewerage system planning and design, the ability to interpret topographic maps, site surveys, and utility layouts, and proficiency in technical documentation, report writing, and drawing review. Effective communication and coordination skills for multidisciplinary teamwork are essential, along with familiarity with national and international sewerage design codes and standards. Essential Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and exposure to Civil 3D for utility drafting and alignment profiles. Working knowledge of hydraulic modeling tools (e.g., SewerGEMS, StormCAD, SWMM). Familiarity with IS codes, CPHEEO guidelines, and local ULB standards for utility infrastructure. Ability to interpret survey data, topographic maps, and integrate them into design planning. Strong teamwork, documentation, and technical reporting skills.
