Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Experience : 3 to 10 years

Location : Bangalore

Roles & Responsibilities:

Engineering design of hydraulic brake system for automotive applications
Prepare detailed 3D models & 2D engineering drawings with proper GD&T for manufacturability & supplier communication
Verify brake system sizing (data sheet), homologation & regulation requirements like IS standards
Responsible for creating and maintaining the documents to support manufacturing, testing and assembly (BOM, PFC, DFM&A, DFMEA, TGR&TGW, ECN and etc..) and handle the audits.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (CAE, Testing, Manufacturing, Quality) to ensure robust & manufacturable design
Supporting failure analysis (If any).
Capable to create & work on new platform, technologies & innovative concepts available in brake system.

Requirements & Skills:

3~5 years of relevant experience in design of brake system for automotive applications
Strong working capability in CAD tools like Solid works or Creo
Proficient in Benchmarking, engineering drawings, engineering standards, GD&T, engineering calculation, material selection, tolerance stack-up analysis and etc.
In-depth experience on Brake product development process, tech review, DFMEA, DVP&R
Knowledge on APQP & quality standards
Excellent in material selection and basic FEA knowledge
Preferable by having knowledge in patents procedures for new concepts
Process knowledge of casting, press parts, Injection moulding and forging components
Excellent interpersonal, presentation & communication skills (verbal & written), with ability to successfully deliver technical solutions in alignment with cross functional stakeholder
