JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Director, the Human Resource Manager , shall be responsible for leading HR functions, recruitment, compliance, talent management, and employee relations. The role is central to shaping a positive workplace culture and ensuring organizational goals are met through strategic HR initiatives. Key Responsibilities: (1) Organizational Development: Drive initiatives to shape positive company culture, oversee change management processes, and support organizational effectiveness through HR interventions; (2) Policy Development and Compliance: Develop HR policies and ensure compliance with Indian labor laws and internal regulations. Regularly update policies as the company and external regulations evolve, and ensure all employees are informed; (3) Recruitment and Selection: Oversee the entire hiring process, from developing job descriptions and advertising vacancies to screening applications, conducting interviews, and selecting candidates; (4) Onboarding and Training: Design and manage comprehensive onboarding experiences to help new hires integrate into the company culture. Plan and execute employee training and development programs to nurture skills, ensure compliance, and support career growth within the organization; (5) Strategic Talent Management: Identify high-potential employees, create career paths, and implement succession plans to retain talent and prepare future leaders. Foster continuous learning and skills enhancement across the workforce; (6) Performance Management: Develop, implement, and monitor performance appraisal systems. Set performance standards, conduct periodic reviews, and provide feedback to drive high performance and professional growth; (7) Employee Relations and Engagement: Act as a bridge between management and employees. Address grievances, resolve workplace conflicts, conduct disciplinary processes when needed, and foster a positive work environment that leads to high morale and retention; (8) Payroll and Benefits Administration: Oversee payroll processing, manage employee benefits such as health insurance, and ensure timely salary disbursement. Administer statutory benefits per local laws and company policy; (9) Reporting and HR Metrics: Generate reports on HR activities, analyze key HR metrics (like turnover rates, absenteeism, etc.), and present insights to management for informed decision-making 4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES: Qualification Applicant must have a master's degree in human resources management. Experience (1) 7-10 years of experience in handling human resource management preferably for export-oriented units (see below); (2) In-depth knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices, as well as knowledge of HR systems and databases; (3) Prior experience of handling HR for export-oriented, textile and lifestyle products manufacturing units is desirable.
