Role Summary
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented HR Executive / Manager with an MBA in HR for our Padi, Chennai facility. While candidates with 1+ year of experience are strongly preferred, motivated MBA (HR) freshers with strong fundamentals are also welcome to apply. You will manage daily human resource operations, attendance and payroll coordination, end-to-end recruitment support, employee engagement, and statutory compliance documentation.
Key Responsibilities1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Coordination (40%)
- Recruitment Support: Coordinate end-to-end hiring for technical and non-technical roles, including CNC/Robotic Engineers, Service Engineers, Production Technicians, and Sales staff.
- Sourcing & Scheduling: Post jobs on portals (Indeed, Naukri, LinkedIn), screen resumes, conduct initial telephonic HR rounds, and schedule technical interviews with department heads.
- Onboarding & Documentation: Handle new-joiner documentation, KYC verification, ID card/biometric registration, employee profile creation, and induction formalities.
2. Attendance, Payroll Coordination & Statutory Compliance (35%)
- Attendance & Payroll Processing: Monitor daily biometric attendance, shift schedules, leave balances, overtime tracking, and prepare monthly salary sheets and field service travel reimbursements.
- Statutory Documentation: Manage monthly statutory compliance preparation and record-keeping under Tamil Nadu factory and labor norms, including EPF, ESI, Professional Tax (PT), and leave registers.
- Office & Facility Coordination: Support day-to-day administrative activities at the Padi unit, including vendor coordination, office supplies, housekeeping supervision, and workplace safety compliance tracking.
3. Employee Relations & Performance Tracking (25%)
- Employee Records & Appraisals: Maintain accurate physical and digital employee files, track probation confirmations, and assist management in compiling monthly/annual KPI performance appraisal sheets.
- Workplace Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries regarding leave, attendance, salary slips, and PF/ESI claims.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure shop-floor and office discipline, uniform/safety compliance, and proper exit interview and full-and-final (F&F) documentation.
Qualifications & Required Competencies
- Education: Full-Time MBA in Human Resources (HR) or PGDM (HR) from a recognized university.
- Experience: 1+ Year of experience in HR, Recruitment, Payroll, or Factory Administration will be given strong preference. High-potential Freshers with relevant HR internship exposure are also eligible to apply.
- Computer & Software Skills: Strong working knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
- HR Fundamentals: Clear understanding of core HR functions, recruitment workflows, and labor compliance laws (EPF, ESI, Factories Act basics).
- Language & Communication Skills: Fluency in English and Tamil (mandatory for coordinating seamlessly with both corporate teams and shop-floor technicians in Chennai).
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills (Will Be Given Preference)
- 1+ Year of Prior HR Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
- B.Com + MBA (HR) educational background.
- Hands-on familiarity with Zoho (Zoho People / Payroll / Books), SAP, or Tally.
