HPC Architect / Lead

Role Overview: As a highly skilled HPC Architect / Lead, you will be joining a dynamic team in Hyderabad. Your role involves leading cloud infrastructure projects, optimizing performance, and driving innovation within a research-driven environment. You will lead and manage cloud computing infrastructure for scientific research projects, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. Additionally, you will design and implement AWS Cloud solutions for high-performance computing workloads, oversee the architecture and deployment of scalable cloud solutions, and optimize HPC clusters for efficient resource utilization. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage cloud computing infrastructure for scientific research projects, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. - Design and implement AWS Cloud solutions (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation, Terraform) for high-performance computing workloads. - Oversee the architecture and deployment of scalable cloud solutions for research computations. - Implement, monitor, and optimize HPC clusters to ensure efficient resource utilization. - Provide mentorship to a team of cloud architects and engineers. - Collaborate with research teams and stakeholders to understand scientific needs, troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues, and stay updated on emerging cloud computing technologies. Qualifications & Skills: Must-Have: - 10+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on AWS. - Proven expertise in designing and deploying cloud solutions for HPC workloads. - Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, networking solutions). - Strong background in HPC cluster optimization & management. - Proficiency in Python, Bash, Terraform, CloudFormation for cloud automation. - Excellent understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements. - Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. - Ability to mentor and lead technical teams. Good-to-Have (Preferred): - Experience in Life Sciences, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or Medical Research. - Familiarity with scientific computing tools (MATLAB, R, HPC job schedulers). - Advanced knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native environments. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and cloud automation.
