Contact ; 7299022005 A housekeeping dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of a kitchen and dining area, primarily by washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware. They also perform other cleaning tasks like emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors, and assisting with food preparation and storage. The role is essential for ensuring a smooth operation of the kitchen and maintaining a clean environment for food preparation and service. Key Responsibilities: Washing dishes and kitchenware: This includes loading and unloading dishwashers, handwashing items, and ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Maintaining a clean work area: Sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces to keep the kitchen and dishwashing area clean and organized. Emptying trash and recycling: Ensuring all waste is disposed of properly and in a timely manner. Assisting with food preparation and storage: Tasks like chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and helping to store food deliveries. Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies: Monitoring supplies and reporting any needs for restocking. Following safety and sanitation procedures: Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards to prevent contamination. Assisting other kitchen staff: Helping with various tasks to support the overall kitchen operation. Additional tasks may include: Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment like ovens, refrigerators, and food preparation surfaces. Organizing and maintaining dry storage areas. Assisting with closing procedures, such as cleaning cooking and food preparation stations. Monitoring dishwashing machines and reporting any issues. Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Setting up dishwashing stations and ensuring they are properly stocked. Skills and Qualifications: Physical stamina: The ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Attention to detail: Ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Ability to work quickly and efficiently: Maintaining pace with the demands of a busy kitchen. Basic food safety knowledge: Understanding sanitation procedures and proper food handling. Ability to work as part of a team: Collaborating with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth operation. Good communication skills: Effectively communicating with other staff members. Reliability and punctuality: Ensuring consistent attendance and timely arrival.
