Role & responsibilities

Role Summary

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to maintain the hotels service standards and enhance guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Room Cleaning

• Clean, tidy, and reset guest rooms as per hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replenish amenities, and maintain room hygiene.
• Clean bathrooms, sanitize fixtures, and restock essential supplies.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor immediately.
  

2. Public Area Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness of hotel corridors, lobbies, lifts, and other public areas.
• Ensure assigned floors/areas are clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
  

3. Inventory & Supplies

• Ensure proper usage and handling of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Refill housekeeping trolleys with linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
  
• Report shortages of supplies to the floor supervisor.
  

4. Guest Interaction & Service

• Greet guests politely when encountered in hallways or rooms.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously.
• Handle guest belongings and lost-and-found items responsibly as per hotel policy.
