Housekeeping Attendant

Job Summary:The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms and bathrooms under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor. The role demands a pleasant, honest, and friendly demeanor, with the ability to handle guest requests and resolve minor issues. Room Attendants play a key role in maintaining the overall cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction at the property. Duties and Responsibilities:Enter and prepare rooms for cleaning as per standard procedures. Make beds and change linen. Dust room surfaces and furniture. Replenish guestroom and bathroom amenities. Clean bathrooms, including toilets, showers, mirrors, and floors. Clean and organize closets. Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors. Check and secure rooms upon completion of cleaning. Deliver and retrieve guest-requested items (e.g. irons, ironing boards). Ensure guest room security and maintain guest privacy at all times. Perform scheduled deep cleaning (e.g. steam carpet cleaning, spring cleaning). Provide turndown service when required. Replenish complimentary items like bottled water. Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned work areas. Handle hotel property with care and report any damages. Follow all standard operating procedures and housekeeping protocols. Prerequisites:Physical mobility and stamina to perform cleaning duties. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Professional and courteous attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education:Secondary school diploma preferred. Experience:Prior hotel or housekeeping experience is desirable.
