Hospital Billing Executive

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Hospital Billing Executive to manage the end-to-end billing process for hospital patients. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate charge entry, timely claim submission, and effective coordination with insurance companies and patients to support smooth and efficient hospital revenue operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and verify patient demographic and billing information before claim submission.

Prepare and submit insurance claims for reimbursement in compliance with payer guidelines.

Follow up on outstanding or denied claims to ensure timely payment.

Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues.

Post charges and payments accurately in the billing system.

Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all billing transactions.

Ensure all billing activities comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with the accounts receivable and coding teams to support accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Commerce, or a related field.

Minimum 13 years of experience in hospital billing or medical coding.

Sound knowledge of insurance billing practices, ICD-10, and CPT coding.

Familiarity with hospital billing software and claim submission portals.

Skills Required:

Proficiency in medical billing software and MS Office tools.

Strong understanding of insurance verification and denial management processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
