Homologation Engineer.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Technical

• Interpret and apply homologation regulations (AIS, CMVR, ECE, FMVSS, OEM standards) for domestic and export markets, with focus on M1 and N1 vehicles.
• Maintain vehicle-level system knowledge including emissions, safety, and functional systems.
• Prepare homologation requirement matrices and target documents aligned with vehicle platform, specifications, country scope, and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with Type Approval and Conformity of Production (COP) requirements (India & Europe).

Testing & Certification

• Plan, coordinate, and track vehicle and component-level homologation testing (pre-CMVR and certification tests).
• Coordinate and witness testing at internal facilities, client sites, and external test agencies.
• Ensure readiness, maintenance, and logistics of test vehicles, samples, and test equipment.
• Review test reports and prepare post-test documentation and closure reports.

Machine Card Management

• Prepare and maintain Machine Card with complete configuration, specifications, and approval references.
• Update Machine Card to reflect design changes and regulatory updates.
• Ensure traceability, version control, and audit readiness.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with homologation authorities and test agencies (ARAI, ICAT, VRDE, CIRT, and global agencies).
• Coordinate inspections, testing schedules, and certification activities with regulatory officials.
• Interface with clients to understand requirements and support technical quotations.
• Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams for project execution.

Project & Documentation Management

• Prepare and submit homologation applications and approval documentation.
• Manage project tracking, cost control, and planning using Navision and PAMPOL tools.
• Ensure timely completion of homologation projects within defined scope, cost, and timelines.

Desired Profile

• Strong knowledge of automotive regulations and homologation processes.
• Hands-on experience in vehicle and component certification activities.
• Strong coordination, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
