Role Summary The Homologation / Type Approval Engineer is responsible for end-to-end vehicle and component homologation activities in compliance with Indian and international regulations. The role includes regulatory interpretation, planning and execution of testing and certification, documentation management, and coordination with regulatory authorities, test agencies, clients, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Regulatory & Technical Interpret and apply homologation regulations (AIS, CMVR, ECE, FMVSS, OEM standards) for domestic and export markets, with focus on M1 and N1 vehicles. Maintain vehicle-level system knowledge including emissions, safety, and functional systems. Prepare homologation requirement matrices and target documents aligned with vehicle platform, specifications, country scope, and timelines. Ensure compliance with Type Approval and Conformity of Production (COP) requirements (India & Europe). Testing & Certification Plan, coordinate, and track vehicle and component-level homologation testing (pre-CMVR and certification tests). Coordinate and witness testing at internal facilities, client sites, and external test agencies. Ensure readiness, maintenance, and logistics of test vehicles, samples, and test equipment. Review test reports and prepare post-test documentation and closure reports.
