Job Description

Position Summary

The Homeroom Teacher serves as the primary educator and point of contact for a designated class of students. This role focuses on student guidance, daily administrative routines, classroom management, and fostering a positive, supportive learning environment. The Homeroom Teacher may also teach one or more academic subjects depending on school needs.

Key Responsibilities1. Student Supervision & Guidance

  • Oversee students during homeroom periods (morning/afternoon).
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and student behavior.
  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Provide mentoring, counseling, and guidance as needed.

2. Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the school and parents/guardians.
  • Communicate student progress, concerns, and achievements regularly.
  • Coordinate parent–teacher meetings and conferences.

3. Classroom & Administrative Duties

  • Take daily attendance and manage student records.
  • Distribute school notices, schedules, and important information.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and positive classroom environment.
  • Enforce school rules and classroom behavior expectations.

4. Academic Support

  • Monitor academic performance and coordinate support for struggling students.
  • Help students set goals and develop good study habits.
  • Collaborate with subject teachers regarding student progress.

5. School Participation

  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events.
  • Contribute to school activities, assemblies, and extracurricular programs.
  • Assist with student orientation, transitions, and community-building initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching license/certification (depending on country).
  • Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom-management skills.
  • Ability to support student well-being and foster a positive classroom culture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
