Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and creative Chef to oversee the kitchen operations of our 3-star hotel. The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, managing kitchen staff, maintaining hygiene standards, controlling food costs, and ensuring guest satisfaction through exceptional dining experiences. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and present a variety of cuisines (continental, Indian, and regional as required by the hotel). Supervise kitchen staff, allocate duties, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Ensure food is prepared according to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per food safety regulations. Monitor inventory, control wastage, and ensure cost-effective use of resources. Assist in menu planning, pricing, and introduction of seasonal or special dishes. Coordinate with service staff to deliver timely and well-presented food to guests. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health & safety, and statutory regulations. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain consistency in food quality. Handle guest feedback related to food and take corrective action when required. Requirements & Qualifications Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management / Culinary Arts or equivalent certification. Proven experience as a Chef (3–5 years preferred) in a hotel or restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of multiple cuisines (continental, Indian, Chinese, regional). Good leadership, communication, and team management skills. Knowledge of food safety standards (FSSAI norms, HACCP preferred). Ability to work under pressure and during peak hours. Creativity in food presentation and menu innovation. Working Conditions Full-time, shift-based role (including weekends and holidays).
