Job Description

Job Responsibilities: Develop interior layouts for lab drawer systems and integrated storage using space optimization principles, zonal mapping, and workflow simulations. Review scientist working, understand technical detailing and design Fume Hood & its Drawers factoring in clearance zones, airflow considerations, and user movement analysis. Understand lab inventory and design the custom-fit insert/organizers along with ergonomics & 6S. Design custom-fit inserts and organization systems for cold storage equipment (refrigerators/freezers) to support temperature-sensitive categorization and minimize material handling time. Maximize horizontal and vertical space efficiency through multi-level shelving, pull-out systems, and built-in cabinetry tailored to lab operations. Generate design plans and detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp. Work cross-functionally with lab managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to translate requirements into workable solutions. Qualification Bachelors or masters in interior design Experience Fresher Key Competencies (Technical, Functional & Behavioral) Technical & Functional Behavioral: Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or equivalent BIM tools. Knowledge of lab planning guidelines, ergonomic codes, and storage optimization strategies. Strong design documentation and presentation skills (rendering, mood boards, concept sketches). Detail-oriented with a focus on form-to-function alignment in technical spaces
