Job Description

  • Sales Executive / Sales Associate

    : Front-line staff interacting with customers, demonstrating products, closing sales.
  • Showroom/Store Supervisor or Lead

    : Oversees showroom floor operations, ensures merchandising & staffing, handles escalations.
  • Product Specialist

    : Deeper knowledge of product(s) (here PlayStation consoles/games/accessories), handles demos & technical questions.
  • Inventory / Merchandising Coordinator

    : Manages stock, displays, ensures products are available and well-presented.
  • Customer Service / After-Sales Advisor

    : Handles warranty questions, returns, service escalation, customer retention.

Core Responsibilities

Here are responsibilities typical in a showroom sales role for this kind of product line:

  1. Customer Engagement & Sales

    • Greet and assist customers entering the showroom; identify customer needs (e.g., gaming console, games, accessories).
    • Demonstrate product features and benefits of the PlayStation ecosystem (console, games, accessories, services).
    • Upsell and cross-sell relevant items (e.g., extra controllers, game bundles, subscriptions).
    • Meet or exceed individual and showroom sales targets (units sold, revenue, attach rate).
    • Follow-up with customers as needed (e.g., for orders, reservations, upcoming launches).
  2. Product Knowledge & Demonstration

    • Stay current with the latest PlayStation hardware/firmware, software titles, accessories and services.
    • Conduct in-showroom demos, allow customers to trial games/hardware.
    • Explain technical specifications and compatibility (e.g., PS5 vs PS4, VR systems, accessories).
    • Collect feedback from customers about product experiences and pass it to management or brand team.
  3. Showroom Presentation & Merchandising

    • Ensure showroom floor is well-presented: correct product placement, signage, correct pricing/display info.
    • Monitor stock levels on the floor; replenish from storeroom, maintain cleanliness and visual appeal.
    • Coordinate with brand/promotions team for launches, offers, in-store events.
    • Ensure pricing, offers and promotional material are correctly displayed and aligned with brand guidelines.
  4. Inventory, Order & Stock Management

    • Track showroom stock (consoles, bundles, accessories, games) and coordinate replenishment.
    • Manage display units, demo units (keeping them up-to-date and functional).
    • Handle incoming deliveries, unpacking and initial stock logging.
    • Liaise with back-end (warehouse, central store) for replenishments, returns, defective items.
  5. Customer Service & After-Sales Support

    • Address customer queries and complaints (in-store and sometimes over phone).
    • Assist with warranty registration, returns/exchanges, set-up assistance.
    • Ensure customer is aware of service/support options (e.g., PlayStation Network, online services).
    • Maintain customer records, feedback logs, possibly loyalty programs.
  6. Reporting & Meeting Targets

    • Maintain daily/weekly sales reports: number of units sold, accessory attach rate, revenue per customer, conversion rate.
    • Provide feedback on market/customer trends, competitor products, stock issues.
    • Participate in training sessions, brand updates and meetings.
    • Adapt to promotional periods/launches (which may require longer hours or special events).
  7. Teamwork & Operational Compliance

    • Work collaboratively with other showroom staff (cashiers, inventory staff, service staff).
    • Comply with brand/company policies: pricing, promotions, stock handling, customer data.
    • Maintain knowledge of and follow health & safety, store security, and loss-prevention procedures.
    • Be flexible with scheduling: weekends, evenings may be required especially around big product launches.
