Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Required Skills and Experience :

Proven experience as a Lead Data Engineer or similar leadership role, with a strong focus on AWS.
Extensive hands-on experience with core AWS data services: S3, Glue, SQS, Lambda.
Strong proficiency in designing and implementing data warehousing solutions using Snowflake.
Expertise in data pipeline orchestration tools, particularly Apache Airflow.
Advanced programming skills in Python and PySpark for data manipulation and processing.
Strong SQL proficiency for data querying, analysis, and optimization.
Experience with data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning in data warehousing environments.
Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and IAM policies.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to lead and mentor a technical team effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional).
Experience with other AWS services like Redshift, Athena, Kinesis, or EMR.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data solutions.
Experience in a specific industry domain (e.g., Retail, finance, healthcare, e-commerce).
