Job Title: Associate SME Desktop Virtualization

Location:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, support, and optimize

  Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

  and

  Citrix

  environments.
• Design and implement virtual desktop infrastructure solutions based on business requirements.
• Lead and execute

  migration projects

  from legacy desktop platforms to AVD or Citrix.
• Monitor VDI performance and availability; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with cloud, network, and security teams to ensure secure and compliant deployments.
• Manage user provisioning, application publishing, and policy configuration.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
• Provide L2/L3 support for virtual desktop-related incidents and service requests.
• Conduct regular system patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Participate in capacity planning and cost optimization initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years

  of experience in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) management.
• Strong hands-on expertise in

  Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

  deployment, scaling, and optimization.
• Proven experience with

  Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops

  (formerly XenApp/XenDesktop).
• Experience in

  migrating

  from on-prem VDI solutions (e.g., Citrix, VMware) to Azure or hybrid environments.
• Good understanding of

  Microsoft Azure services

  , including networking, storage, and identity.
• Proficiency in

  PowerShell scripting

  and automation for VDI tasks.
• Knowledge of

  profile management tools

  (e.g., FSLogix, Citrix UPM).
• Familiarity with

  Intune

  and endpoint management in virtual environments.
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes and change management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft certifications (e.g.,

  AZ-140

  , AZ-104).
• Citrix certifications (e.g.,

  CCA-V

  ,

  CCP-V

  ).
• Experience with VMware Horizon or other VDI platforms is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Citrix Director, etc.
