2.2.Role & responsibilities Should have a working knowledge on GST (GSTR 1 GSTR 3B, GSTR 2A/2B reco) , TDS (24Q & 26Q) and return filing. Should have a working knowledge for GST of different states. Prepare and file tax returns, including GST, TDS, and income tax returns. Should be able to prepare MIS and have Budget vs Actual working knowledge. Stay updated on changes in tax laws that may impact the organization Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements & ensure timely and correct financial data to management. Maintain the general ledger and reconcile accounts. Check the month end and year end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Maintain organized and up-to-date records related to compliance and financial transactions. Ensure that all financial documents are prepared and filed accurately. Has to be familiar with Port Tariffs & Basis of Calculation. Should have enough knowledge about Vessel Port Operations, Cost allocation and basic charges. Knowledge on Pilotage, Towage, Port dues, Berth dues, light dues, Anchorage dues and other port related charges and shifting expenses. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency in compliance processes Strong Oral and Written communication skills Working experience in Tally Prime and good working knowledge in excel, words and PPT Preferred candidate profile Strong leadership and managerial skills are crucial for managing a team of finance and accounting professionals. Experience in team supervision and mentoring is important.

Summary The Chemist - Coal operation is responsible for conducting sampling and analytical test of coal shipments handled through the port terminal. The role ensures the quality and specifications of coal meet customer, regulatory and contractual requirement. The chemist also contributes to efficient bulk handling, Safety Compliance and environmental monitoring in support of coal import/export activities. Key Responsibilities (1) Sample and Testing Ensure precise calibration of laboratory instruments, verify analytical methodologies, and uphold adherence to ASTM, API, and ISO standards by handling coal from from vessels, stock piles, conveyor belts or Railcars. SAP knowledge for creating PR and PO of Chemicals and service tracking with vendor & Procurement team Generate detailed laboratory reports, analyse data, and provide insights for process optimization, quality control, and regulatory submissions. Analysis of Coal & Iron Ore and issuing the Test reports. (2) Quality Assurance Ensure that Coal Cargo meets contractual and customer specifications before shipment or delivery. Generate detailed laboratory reports, analyse data, and provide insights for process optimization, quality control, and regulatory submissions. Maintain and calibrate lab equipment regularly to ensure accuracy of results. Prepare certificate of Analysis (COA) and lab Reports for clients and Internal use. (3) Compliance and Safety Follow Safe work practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE) in the lab and field. Comply with environmental and occupational health regulations, especially regarding coal dust and hazardous emissions. Support environmental sampling and monitoring (e. g air, water and dust samples as required. (4) Coordination and Communication Coordinate with operation, Logistics and cargo surveyors for timely sampling and testing. Assist In resolving quality related disputes with Suppliers, Buyers or customs. Report deviations and Assist In root cause analysis of quality issues. Required Skills Familiarity with ISO, ASTM or BIS Coal testing and other international testing standards. Familiarity with safety and environmental guidelines related to coal handling and dust control. Strong Analytical and problem solving skills. This includes overseeing the movement of cargo by trucks, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting the smooth flow of goods between the terminal and external destinations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise all truck movement within and around the port/terminal area. Coordinate with transporters, drivers, and terminal staff for timely cargo pickup and delivery.. Maintain proper documents and ensure to prepare challans for the cargo movement. Ensure vehicles meet port safety standards and proper documentation is in place. Maintain accurate records of cargo movement, delivery times, and truck performance. Communicate with dispatch team and Operations team for smooth movement of cargo by road and Rail. Ensure compliance with traffic regulations and safety policies inside and outside the terminal. Address and resolve any transport delays, vehicle issues, or driver concerns. Report daily operational updates and incidents to the operations manager. Support the implementation of logistics improvement plans and cost-saving measures. Requirements: Experience in logistics, transportation, or port operations (preferred). Good understanding of road transport, port, and terminal operations. Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills. Familiarity with road safety, traffic rules, and cargo documentation. Ability to work in shifts and under pressure in a busy port environment. Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
