Assistant Manager - Quality Assurance Objective of the Role - The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our rubber flooring solutions and compounds, as well as maintaining compliance with our certifications (Sedex, FCCA, ISO, and GRS). The QA Specialist will work closely with our production, R&D, and sales teams to identify and mitigate quality risks, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement. Key Duties & Responsibilities · Quality Planning : Develop and implement quality plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure product quality and compliance. · Quality Management System (QMS): Maintain and improve our QMS, ensuring compliance with Sedex, FCCA, ISO, and GRS standards. · Product Inspection and Testing : Conduct regular inspections and testing of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and standards. · Corrective Action Plans : Investigate and resolve non-conforming product issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as necessary. · Supplier Quality Management : Evaluate and approve vendors/suppliers, ensuring they meet our quality and compliance requirements. · Internal Audits : Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with our QMS and certifications. · Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements, reducing waste, and improving efficiency. · Training and Awareness : Provide quality-related training and awareness to employees, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities within the QMS. · Client Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and effective communication regarding quality related issues, product information and certification compliance. · SPOC for Audit/Certification Agencies: Serve as the primary point of contact for, develop and maintain relationships with audit and certification agencies e.gSedex, FCCA, ISO, GRS, co-ordinate and facilitate audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation & information are provided to all stakeholders . · Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards. Requirements : Education : Bachelor's degree in chemistry, materials science, quality engineering). Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge : Strong knowledge of quality management systems, auditing, and testing procedures. Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Desirable : Experience in the rubber manufacturing industry or a related field. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies/ Six Sigma . Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification preferred. Objective of the role: The Factory Manager will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient production, high-quality standards, and a safe work environment.
