Special Educator Work Location: Bankura - West Bengal ( LOKEPUR BHAKAT PARA MAHABIR CLUB,NEAR TO APOLLO PHARMACY, Bankura, WEST BENGAL - 722102 ) Timings:10am to 7pm Roles and responsibilities: Assess developmental, cognitive, language, and educational needs of children and individuals with hearing impairment. Identify learning challenges and strengths through standardized tools and informal observation. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans for children with hearing loss. Set academic and communication goals in coordination with audiologists and speech therapists. Facilitate language development through visual, auditory, and tactile methods. Reinforce speech and auditory training techniques in collaboration with the speech therapist. Educate and counsel parents about hearing impairment, learning needs, and home strategies. Involve families in goal setting and progress monitoring. Prepare children with hearing impairment for mainstream or special school environments. Support academic skills like reading, writing, and numeracy using tailored techniques. Work closely with audiologists and speech-language pathologists to ensure consistent therapy plans. Reinforce therapy strategies during educational sessions. Track and document progress toward IEP goals. Update reports for caregivers, audiologists, and other professionals involved. Address behavioural issues that may arise due to communication challenges. Encourage peer interaction and social skill development. Conduct awareness programs and parent training sessions. Help in community outreach or school collaboration activities when needed. Maintain educational materials, visual aids, and assistive learning tools. Recommend specialized learning aids based on individual needs.
