As a member of the team providing Health Records support for patients at Borders General Hospital, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare experience. Your role will involve covering receptions in Outpatients, ensuring seamless and efficient service delivery. You will be based at Borders General Hospital, working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm. In this fast-paced environment, your ability to thrive under pressure, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills, strong organizational capabilities, and proficient keyboard skills, will be essential for success in this role. Given the nature of the position, your tasks will involve working with Visual Display Units (VDUs), requiring comfort and proficiency in utilizing such technology. Please be aware that starting from 1 April 2025, there may be changes in the level of criminal records checks required for this role. If deemed a "regulated role," you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, subject to confirmation by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team. To work in the United Kingdom, it is mandatory to demonstrate the relevant permission to work in the country, granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service. As part of the pre-employment checks, NHS Scotland Boards will verify your eligibility to work in the UK through various routes, including specific visas and settled/pre-settled status within the EU. If you do not possess the necessary eligibility, there may be a possibility of securing sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa, provided the employer is a licensed Sponsor and the post aligns with the minimum salary threshold or going rate. Detailed information on these criteria can be found on the GOV.UK website. It is crucial to ensure that you have the appropriate right to work in the UK or confirm the post's eligibility for sponsorship before submitting your application to avoid any potential issues. NHS Scotland is dedicated to promoting equality and diversity within its workforce, striving to eliminate discrimination and create an inclusive environment where every employee feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. We encourage applications from individuals across all sections of society as we work towards a truly representative and respectful workplace.,
