Health Insurance Sales Executive – Telesales

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead Handling & Prospecting

• Make outbound/inbound calls to educate, compare, and sell health insurance plans to interested customers.
• Qualify leads, capture family size, medical history disclosures, and budget to match suitable plans.

2. Need Analysis & Solution Pitching

• Explain benefits, waiting periods, sub-limits, exclusions, and add-ons (OPD, maternity, critical illness riders).
• Prepare & present multiple insurer quotes; handle objections and negotiate to close sales ethically.

3. Documentation & Proposal Processing

• Collect KYC, medical questionnaires/reports, and payment details; ensure accuracy in proposal forms.
• Coordinate with underwriting/operations for medical tests, approvals, and swift policy issuance.

4. Renewals, Cross-Sell & Upsell

• Proactively follow up on renewals to prevent policy lapses.
• Cross-sell/top-up covers or related products (personal accident, critical illness, super top-up).

5. Compliance & Quality Control

• Adhere to IRDAI regulations, company SOPs, and call-quality scripts; ensure zero mis-selling/fraud.
• Record all interactions accurately in CRM; maintain confidentiality of customer data.

6. Customer Service & Issue Resolution

• Provide timely status updates, explain requirements, and resolve premium/document/payment discrepancies.
• Liaise with claims/support teams to guide customers on claim intimation processes when needed.

7. Reporting & Collaboration

• Maintain daily/weekly MIS on calls, quotes, conversions, premiums booked, and pipeline status.
• Work closely with product, underwriting, and finance teams for smoother operations and feedback loops.
