Health Care Assistant

As a patient care assistant, your role involves working under the supervision of nurses and other medical professionals to provide direct patient care. You will be responsible for supporting patients with daily living activities, monitoring their health, and ensuring their comfort and safety in various healthcare settings. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with daily living activities: You will help patients with essential tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and using the toilet. - Monitor patient health: Your duties will include taking and recording vital signs like temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight. It is crucial to observe patients for any changes in their physical or mental condition and report them to senior medical staff. - Support mobility: You will assist patients with moving around, including helping them in and out of bed, transferring to a wheelchair, or aiding with walking. Additionally, repositioning bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores is part of your responsibilities. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. - Certification in basic life support (BLS) is desirable but not mandatory.
