Head Stores

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the stores and warehouse at the Valve manufacturing unit of VALV-L&T Valves Limited, Kancheepuram Works. Your primary focus will be on maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring timely availability of materials. Your role will involve developing and implementing strategies for inventory control, cost reduction, and efficient materials handling. You will lead a team of storekeepers and warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance management to ensure smooth operations. Collaboration with production, procurement, and supply chain teams is key, as you align inventory processes with production schedules and demand forecasts. It will be essential to maintain accurate records and track all materials efficiently through the ERP system. Driving process improvements to optimize space utilization, reduce lead times, and minimize stock discrepancies will be part of your responsibilities. Compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards is crucial in this role. Regular reporting on inventory levels, material consumption, and key performance indicators (KPIs) will be required. You will also manage vendor relationships for storage-related services and supplies as needed. Your expertise in making modernized stores setup for operational efficiency, digitalization, and continual improvements will be valuable.
