As the Head of Department (HOD) at Accolade Electronics, you will lead the New Product Development team, overseeing the overall management and strategic direction of the department. Your responsibilities will include ensuring efficient operations, successful project delivery within budget and timelines, driving innovation, fostering a collaborative work environment, and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians. - Forecast change in market dynamics and customer requirements over the next 4-5 years - Determine new product requirements and areas for development - Conduct competition analysis and align product development with organizational goals - Develop R&D strategy, budget planning, and supervise CAPEX and OPEX - Encourage innovation through invention disclosure, patent filing, and risk analysis - Design new concepts for product development and participate in new business acquisition - Drive new product development projects by allocating resources effectively - Own the stage-gate process, identify risks, and ensure highest quality standards - Guide teams in translating customer specifications into problem statements - Resolve customer complaints, recruit talent, establish performance expectations, and mentor team members - Desired soft skills include strong leadership, ability to work in cross-functional teams, sense of ownership, urgency, and ethics Qualifications: - B.E. / B.Tech. in Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications Experience: - 15+ years of relevant experience in the Automotive Electronics industry Location: - Shivane, Pune,
