Head - Research And Development

You will be responsible for leading the New Product Development department at Accolade Electronics, ensuring efficient operations and successful project delivery within budget and timelines. As the Head of Department (HOD), you will play a crucial role in driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians. Your responsibilities will include forecasting market dynamics and customer requirements, developing product roadmaps, conducting competition analysis, and aligning product development with organizational goals. You will also be involved in R&D planning, budgeting, and strategic forecasting to ensure the development of competitive and customer-centric products. Additionally, you will oversee the entire NPD functions, including Embedded Software Development, Mechanical Design, Hardware Design, Validation, Verification, and Product Testing. You will drive design and development projects, define stage-gate processes, ensure highest quality standards, and interact with customers to provide expert opinions and co-create solutions. As the HOD, you will manage a team of engineers and technicians, resolve customer complaints, participate in recruitment, establish performance expectations, coach and mentor team members, and identify development opportunities. Desired soft skills for this role include strong leadership, cross-functional teamwork, a sense of ownership, urgency, and ethics. The ideal candidate for this position should have a B.E./B.Tech. degree in Electronics or Electronics & Telecommunications, along with over 15 years of relevant experience in the Automotive Electronics industry.
