Head - Business Development (BESS & Private PPAs Solar)

As the Head of Business Development for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Solar projects under Private Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) at the company, your role is critical in driving the business growth strategy and expanding the company's footprint in the renewable energy sector. **Key Responsibilities:** - Formulate and implement business development strategies for Solar and BESS projects under Private PPA and C&I models. - Identify and develop new markets, customers, and strategic opportunities to expand the company's presence in the renewable energy sector. - Lead origination and negotiation of Private PPAs with corporate and industrial clients for solar and hybrid projects (Solar + BESS). - Drive customer acquisition and partnerships for Battery Energy Storage System projects in standalone and hybrid applications. - Develop and manage relationships with IPPs, developers, EPC companies, investors, and technology providers. - Build, mentor, and lead the business development team for short-term and long-term goal achievement. **Qualification & Experience:** - Bachelors degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Energy Engineering; MBA or equivalent preferred. - 15+ years of experience in Business Development within the Renewable Energy (Solar / BESS) sector. - Minimum 10 years of direct experience in Private PPAs and C&I project development. - Experience in handling projects above 10 MW capacity with a strong industry network in India. Your proven track record in Private PPA origination and closure, strong understanding of BESS technologies and commercial models, excellent client relationship management skills, and ability to lead cross-functional teams will be crucial in achieving the company's revenue, margin, and capacity addition goals.
